Weekly Quote 2-21-18

So for this reason, we, as Orthodox Christians, should not forget two great truths in our life: the Cross and the Resurrection. If we take the Cross and the Resurrection out of the Gospels, there is no salvation. We may benefit from beautiful teachings, beautiful parables, miracles and signs, but without the Cross and Resurrection, we lose the essence and the way of salvation. Man has no need for another ideology, but for salvation. All religions speak about good things. They speak about peace, mercy, and reconciliation, but they fail to address the need of salvation.
